Mission 4 Masese
Fair-Trade. Mission 4 Masese was started in 2015 in an impoverished area located in Jinja, Uganda. Through the vocational trainings of this program women learn how to make hand-crafted beaded jewelry and other artisan crafts from recycled paper and recycled sugar bags. They are taught not only the art of beading and craft making but also the skill of tayloring.
These women live in extreme poverty often living off of less than $2.00 per day. Empowering women through fair-trade and vocational training has been a strategy of Man Up and Go since our inception. Our goal is to enable these women to afford rent, buy food, pay their children's school fees and lift their families out of the generational cycle of poverty.
